RhymGuiro with RhymBlock

The Native Tongue Percussion RhymGuiro with RhymBlock combines bright metallic and warm wooden percussion voices in one versatile rim-mounted instrument. The RhymGuiro is mounted above the RhymBlock, allowing the two rasp surfaces to be played separately or together with the same stroke.

The dual-profile stainless steel RhymGuiro produces crisp scrapes, distinct struck tones, and projecting metallic sound effects. The RhymBlock adds a contrasting wooden rasp edge along with its solid block voice, creating a broad range of rhythmic textures from one compact setup.

Players can move between the metal and wood rasp surfaces for contrasting patterns or combine both surfaces for layered voicings. Drop the stick slightly from the metal rasp to engage the RhymBlock rasp to add a distinct wooden accent voice to the groove.

The instrument can also serve as a distinctive metallic and wooden alternative for hi-hat-style timekeeping patterns and accents.

Played with conventional drumsticks or the Native Tongue Percussion HandStx, the RhymGuiro with RhymBlock incorporates two patented RhymClips for stable mounting directly to a drum rim or hoop without requiring a separate stand.
