I just received the Hi Hat Stryker and it appears that it will do exactly what I anticipated it would. Though I haven’t had an opportunity to use it on a gig yet I plan to use it with a djembe setup, cajon setup, and box kit (cajon on steroids) setup. The ability to play any of these without the need for a striking instrument really makes playing much smoother. I do at times use brushes and being able to strike the HHS with a brush and get a beefier HH sound also is nice. Not seeing this product in person, I wasn’t sure of the quality. It is very well made and should give many years of service. Hand percussionists, don’t think twice.
Also, the folks at Native Tongue Percussion are very accommodating and great with prompt communication.
